Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Senior Stress Engineer to join our team.
This role encompasses a range of responsibilities, including the
oversight of piping stress analysis, ensuring the flexibility,
stability, and qualification of equipment nozzle loads in
accordance with ASME B31.3 Code. The selected candidate will work
in close collaboration with layout personnel and pipe support
engineers to achieve a design that is both high quality and
cost-effective. Furthermore, this position requires coordination
with various engineering disciplines and vendors as needed.
Essential Responsibilities:
Conduct pipe stress analysis of systems adhering to ASME B31.3 and
other relevant industry codes and standards.
Model piping systems to verify flexibility, stability, and
qualification of equipment nozzle loads.
Collaborate with layout personnel and pipe support engineers to
deliver optimal design solutions.
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as
necessary to ensure project success.
Basic Qualifications:
Proficient knowledge of ASME B31.3 and other pertinent piping codes
and standards.
Proven experience with pipe stress analysis software.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field.
Minimum of 9 years of related professional experience.
Minimum Requirements:
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical examination
(if located at the construction site), and background check,
including verification of employment and education.
Eligibility to obtain a Department of Energy badge for site
access.
Must be a United States citizen.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional Engineering (PE) registration.
Experience with pipe stress analysis programs such as ME101 and/or
Bentley AutoPIPE.
Prior project experience within the Department of Defense (DOD) or
Department of Energy (DOE) sectors.
