Job Description:
The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for warehousing,
inventory control, and shipping of finished goods. The Shipping
Supervisor is responsible for managing activities on all shifts in
an efficient and safe manner. PCA offers competitive wages and

month for monthly fitness memberships. Salary range for this
position is $74,400 - $95,000 PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES: Direct
all activities associated with outbound shipments ensuring the
timely shipment and delivery of scheduled customer orders, planning
truck/rail car loading schedules, and providing order shipment
status updates. Direct all activities associated with inbound
shipments ensuring the proper inspection, unloading, distribution,
communication and storage of all materials. Schedule work,
coordinate production activities, provide direct oversight of
employees, approve time records, communicate and implement company
policy. Engage in employee development activities, be actively
involved in and make recommendations on employee hire, promotion
and disciplinary action. Maintain a clean, safe and injury-free
work environment by ensuring health and safety procedures are
understood and executed by all employees. Conduct employee training
on all equipment, protocols, production standards, safety
regulations and waste control on an ongoing basis. Supervise
efficient operation of warehouse and equipment including the
inspection of materials, products and equipment to detect and/or
prevent malfunctions. Ensure completion of departmental operations
in accordance with continuous improvement standards of PCA. Analyze
shipping department performance, identify opportunities, implement
recommendations for process and equipment improvement, establish
goals and execute strategy. Investigate, respond and identify RCCA
for customer complaints concerning damaged product that may have
been caused by shipping or transit damage. Participate in
production meeting and provide updates as needed. Manage on-hand
inventory and month end inventory. Conduct regular cycle counts in
order to maintain accurate on-hand inventory. Set up and drive
process for month-end inventory reconciliation. Maintain raw
materials needed within the area to a min/max level and replenish
as needed. Oversee bander personnel and the equipment that straps,
palletizes and bags final product prior to shipment. BASIC
QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma required. 4+ years' experience
working in a shipping department. Ability to work flexible hours
when needed. Previous supervisory experience with training,
teambuilding, performance development, and conflict resolution.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Some college or manufacturing training.
Previous experience in a corrugated manufacturing environment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Strong organizational skills with
the ability to handle numerous details, deadlines, and requests.
Knowledge of the machinery, methods and procedures in the
department under supervision. Strong interpersonal skills to
effectively lead and communicate with production team, management
and other internal and external customers. Familiar with standard
concepts, practices, and procedures regarding continual improvement
and safety processes. Working knowledge of manufacturing systems
including shop floor software, MicroSoft Teams, Outlook, Excel,
etc. Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented
environment, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple projects
and/or requests concurrently. Solid analytical and mechanical
ability. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Previous
work experience as a member of a team, or a strong understanding of
the importance of open communication and information sharing
between team members.
Pay Details: $74,400.00-$95,000.00 per year Associated topics:
